Aim of the workshop

Hosting a Death Cafe is an incredibly rewarding experience. The Death Cafe website provides an excellent guide about how to do this.

However, from my experience, some people feel they need a little bit of support to host their first one or to think through the logistics and any possible complications (which rarely arise).

This workshop enables you and your staff/volunteers to have the confidence to host a Death Cafe either in-person or virtually.

This workshop will cover:

• What a Death Cafe is and how they work both in-person and online;
• The roles of a Death Cafe facilitator and the skills needed;
• Tips for publicising your Death Cafe;

• Strategies for managing difficult situations that could arise during a Death Cafe.
